The Blue Curtain
Oil on particle board, 8"x8"
I have these reoccuring characters in my sketchbooks over the years of bodies, often dressed in historical clothing with bouqets of flowers for heads.
The process of this moment here made me fall in love with depicting dappled light

Night portrait
Oil on Wood Panel, 20"x30"
This work covers the long-term effects of dissociation

Self Portrait
Gouache, colored pencil on paper, 11x13
This piece isn't exactly subtle but it's a tribute to my Spanish family that faught against the Fascist regime. It is a portrait
of my younger self, expressing pride in him.

Color experiment
Gouache, colored pencil, on sketch paper
I loosely referenced photographer Nadav Kander's portrait of Jean Rochefort in order to experiment with color and texture in portraiture

Dog on the couch
Oils, Acrylic, on wooden board
An image of a family friend's dog, the space she held, which she would leave behind as a void

Kai at our fridge
Oils on wooden board
Exploring the varying hues in lights and shadows
